As Bertrand Russell aptly stated, ‘Fear is the main source of superstition and one of the main sources of cruelty. To conquer Fear is the beginning of wisdom.’

The paramount benefit lies in the eradication of Fear from human existence. The human mind evolved to safeguard individuals from potential dangers and tends to instill fear when faced with the unknown. Life itself is a mystery, and without a profound understanding of the universe, individuals rely on the beliefs of their surroundings. Unfortunately, in 99% of cases, these majority-held beliefs are often unclear and contradictory. This lack of clarity leads many to perpetual Fear, doubt, and uncertainty.

Those who seek answers to how the universe works break free from this cycle. By unraveling the profound energy that orchestrates the whole universe, one transcends limitations, understanding how the universe responds to its actions and the movements of other phenomena. This enlightenment, accompanied by faith, dispels darkness and ignorance, allowing individuals to navigate life confidently.

Moreover, obtaining this answer fosters self-knowledge. Understanding the mechanics of the world prompts individuals to align their actions with desired outcomes. This marks the initiation of self-knowledge, as individuals set standards based on the world’s workings, striving to reach and surpass them. Pursuing higher standards leads to constant self-improvement, enabling individuals to monitor and refine their actions and behaviors, thus shaping a purposeful and enlightened existence.”

In the quest to unravel the mysteries of the universe, humanity turns to the sciences, each offering a unique lens through which we explore and understand the universe.

Philosophy embarks on this journey by exploring fundamental questions and ideas seeking answers through thoughtful contemplation.

Ancient Greek philosophers like Thales, Parmenides, and Democritus contributed significantly to philosophy, laying the groundwork for a logical understanding of nature. Thales, known as the “father of science,” refused supernatural explanations, attributing every event to a natural cause.

Mathematics employs the language of numbers and symbols, providing a precise and structured framework to decipher the intricacies of the universe. One of the earliest mathematicians in history was Pythagoras, renowned for the Pythagorean theorem. This theorem, relating the lengths of the sides of a right triangle, exemplifies the power of mathematical principles in describing and understanding the world.

Physics, historically developed from philosophy, traces its roots to a time when it was known as the philosophy of nature. Aristotle’s proposal, outlined in his book Physics, emphasized that observing physical phenomena leads to knowledge of the natural laws governing them.

As physics evolved, it entered a phase where it distanced itself from philosophy and became closer to mathematics. Galileo, the father of modern science, notably marked this shift. His efforts brought physics into a realm where the description of the universe by words became weak, emphasizing a more quantitative and mathematical approach.

The great leap of physics in understanding the universe happened in 1687. Isaac Newton reshaped our view with “Principia Mathematica Philosophiae Naturalis.” By orchestrating a symphony that harmonized the precision of letters and fixed equations, Newton founded classical physics and inaugurated a new era in our perception of the universe. His pioneering work united mathematics and physics and fundamentally transformed how we comprehend the universe, marking a pivotal shift towards a quantitative and mathematical understanding.

This revolution instilled a more logical understanding of the governing laws of the universe, fostering trust in immutable laws applicable across different industries.

Yet, classical physics faced limitations in explaining all phenomena. Modern physics, emerging as a complementary science, addressed these gaps. Einstein, a trailblazer in modern physics, made significant contributions, steering the course toward a more comprehensive understanding of the universe.

The pursuit of understanding how the universe works has been a fundamental quest for the science of physics. The completeness of this endeavor hinges on explaining the causes behind all phenomena of existence, a challenge that science continues to grapple with.

Given that science has not yet provided a definitive answer, the question arises: How can we, as a human species, attain the most profound knowledge of the universe? Does one navigate through life enveloped in doubt, awaiting science to unravel the secrets and bring about a logical understanding of the universe?

There are three key reasons why fully grasping how the universe works through science might not be straightforward.

Firstly, suppose we rely solely on science to uncover the unknowns of our existence. In that case, we end up living in a constant state of doubt and uncertainty. Science still needs to provide a clear-cut answer to the big question, and dwelling in uncertainty means we might not fully embrace the moments of our lives.

Another challenge is that today’s science has become highly complex due to its progress in various fields. This complexity can make it hard for the general public to fully understand the intricate details.

Lastly, the scientific environment often feels dry, mechanical, and numerical. While we can translate those numbers and formulas into understandable language, the reliance on theory introduces doubt and uncertainty. This uncertainty raises questions about whether we can entirely trust the answers provided by science.

In essence, science is a tool for humans to harness energy and understand the environment to achieve personal or collective goals.

Given these challenges, where do we turn to find the truth to the big question?

So, from what point of view can the answer be found?

To unravel the mysteries of how the universe works, it’s essential to understand the characteristics of the answer.

In essence, the answer should possess three crucial features:

Comprehensive: It should thoroughly explain all the phenomena of existence.

Universal Language: How it is expressed should resonate universally with all humans and creatures alike.

Accessibility: The answer must be easily understandable, ensuring clarity for everyone.

Crucially, understanding the universe properly involves more than just logic. Emotion plays a vital role in this response, adding another layer to our comprehension.

The answer should be sought from someone who knows both logic and emotions. And give an answer that, while being logical, explains illogical phenomena.

Maulana Jalaluddin Balkhi, known as Rumi, is the only person who has answered this question by combining logic and emotion.

Rumi’s poems are taken from the pure truth, the book of the Qur’an, and are a commentary on the Qur’an. He has expressed his entire understanding of the Qur’an in the context of Maulavi’s book of poetry. The concepts described in his book can mainly prove the philosophy of quantum physics. Rumi’s worldview is the closest type of worldview to the truth.

To unveil the answer, we turn to the Quran, where God narrates the story of Maryam:

Then she returned to her people, carrying him. They said in shock˺, O Mary! You have certainly done a horrible thing!

O sister of Aaron! Your father was not an indecent man, nor was your mother unchaste.

So she pointed to the baby. They exclaimed, “How can we talk to someone who is an infant in the cradle?”

Jesus declared, “I am truly a servant of Allah. He has destined me to be given the Scripture and to be a prophet.

He has made me a blessing wherever I go and bid me to establish prayer and give alms-tax as long as I live,

and to be kind to my mother. He has not made me arrogant or defiant.

Peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I die, and the day I will be raised back to life!”

Holy Quran 4:27 to 4:33

Holy Mary, due to her purity and innocence, faced concern when questioned about the birth of Jesus. Yet, at God’s command, Jesus spoke words that offered an extraordinary response.

On the surface, the question of how a baby could speak in a cradle seems beyond logical explanation. However, when you delve into the answer, you realize the intricacies of the world—even a baby in the cradle speaks to convey a profound truth. Addressing this question opens a gateway to understanding the most essential inquiry of how the universe works.

And this poem by Rumi is a comprehensive answer to all the questions of the universe:

It was Maryam’s desire and pain that made such a baby speak.

Everything that has grown has grown because of the need for the seeker to find what he wants.

If God Almighty created the heavens, He created them to meet the need.


The universe responds to the needs of every phenomenon. It does not matter if it is a plant, animal, or human. When the need for something is formed in the existence of any phenomenon, the universe brings that being to its demand in an infinite number of different ways. The law of evolution is proof of this claim. For example, the giraffe’s evolution is so long due to his need for a longer neck. Or that the polar bear must be white to hunt with better relative camouflage. In every creature, needs arise according to God’s order of creation. God responds to all needs because of the law of growth and improvement that exists in the movement of existence. The universe expands this way and continuously moves on the growth path. The need may not show in numbers, but it can be felt. So the secret is needed.

The need cannot be mapped because it is seen in every phenomenon as it exists within it. The requirement of every phenomenon cannot be calculated with numbers and formulas. Still, its nature can be seen in all the wonders of existence. The reason for all movements is to satisfy a need. And this is a secret: by knowing it, you can understand the cause of all human behavior and phenomena. Just by asking questions
